The beginning of forcing of the fuel pump of atomizers is checked, or adjustment if the engine gives too low power, accordingly, is made or the new fuel pump has been established.

There are two various verifying and adjusting methods which can be used in a repair truck depending on its equipment: a static method with use of the item gauge and a dynamic verifying method with application of the digital control device. Here the static method with use of the item gauge is described. For adjustment of the beginning of giving of fuel by the pump the item gauge (the position gauge) is required.

After static adjustment the beginning of giving of the pump is necessary for checking up in the dynamic way in a repair truck, and, hence, and in an idling mode. For engines in volume of 2,2/2,5 l dynamic check, or, accordingly, adjustment of the beginning of giving of fuel by the pump is provided only.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Turn out a carving stopper (marksman) sideways on the fuel pump of a high pressure.
The prevention

If oil acts, clean its rag.


2. Establish the item gauge (1) in the regulator case so that the directing pin specified (3) gauges upwards. By hand tighten накидную a nut.
3. Establish a cranked shaft in the position corresponding to the moment of ignition of the first cylinder.
4. After that turn further a pulley until on the display gauge (5) the bulb () will flash. Now continue to rotate slowly enough a pulley while both bulbs burn () and ().
In this case both contacts of the item gauge (1), thanks to pins грузика (6) centrifugal mechanisms of regulation settle down on weight in view of what both bulbs are shone. This position of a regulator (2) fuel pumps of atomizers indirectly corresponds to the beginning of giving of fuel the pump.
5. The pulley should be now in a position 14 + 0,5 after ВМТ. Т е. The initial mark is above position 14 labels on a pulley.
The prevention

Do not rotate the engine in the opposite direction. If the bulb () test repeat flashes only. Thus turn коленвал approximately on two turns and especially slowly turn it in area in which the bulb lights up.


Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish a cranked shaft in a direction of rotation of the engine on 14 after ВМТ the first cylinder. For this purpose a cranked shaft at first establish in the position corresponding to the moment of ignition, and then turn further a little.
2. Ослабьте, without unscrewing, bolts (13) on a flange of the fuel pump of a high pressure.
3. Ослабьте, without unscrewing, bolts (13а) on the basic holder of the fuel pump of a high pressure.
4. Rotate by means of a face wrench a tension bolt and, thanks to it, displace the fuel pump of a high pressure until on the display device both bulbs () and () will not light up. Thus a tension bolt rotate to the right if at test the beginning of giving of the pump settled down for 14 after mark ВМТ. If the beginning of giving of the pump has to occur earlier turn a tension bolt to the left.
The prevention

If possibility of moving by means of a tension bolt it is necessary to remove and rearrange the pump of atomizers (repair truck work) is not provided.


5. With the moment 25 Н.м. (Rough value) tighten to the full fixing bolts of the pump of atomizers on a flange and the holder.
6. Unscrew and Take the item gauge.
7. Screw in with the moment 30 Н.м. A carving stopper with an aluminium sealing ring.
8. Check up gas system of draughts and levers, if necessary adjust.
9. Check up engine oil level, at possibility make updating.
