8.1.12. Prestarting heating of diesel fuel
THE GENERAL DATA

To guarantee normal fluidity of diesel fuel and thanks to it to prevent corking топливопроводов and filters, in particular at the big colds, fuel is preliminary warmed up according to an ambient temperature.

The toplivopodkachivajushchy pump sucks in fuel from a tank through the fuel filter of rough clearing. Thus diesel fuel directly proceeds before топливоподкачивающим the pump of the fuel thermostat which depending on fuel temperature defines degree of prestarting heating of fuel.

For prestarting heating diesel fuel arrives from the thermostat through a line submitting diesel fuel () to the heat exchanger (148) on a fuel submitting line (), through a drain of diesel fuel (D) again back in the thermostat and therefrom by means of the fuel pump in the fuel filter.

If fuel temperature more low 18 C, the thermostat is completely open also all quantity of fuel flows through the heat exchanger. At temperature from 18 to 30 C the mixed mode prevails, i.e. Fuel partially flows through the heat exchanger and is partially direct to топливоподающему to the pump. At temperature above 30 C fuel giving to the heat exchanger from the thermostat stops.

The thermostat is established outside on the heat exchanger. And – giving of fuel from a fuel tank, In – the inlet pipeline to the fuel pump, Е – an input of a cooling liquid, F – an exit of a cooling liquid.

Engines in volume of 2,2/2,5 l

Fuel flows in front of the fuel filter through the heat exchanger which is screwed in sideways in a cylinder head. In the heat exchanger above насажен a thermoelement which depending on fuel temperature directs its stream in full or in part through the heat exchanger: from 18 C to 30 C the mixed mode, over temperature 30 C – without prestarting heating.
