3.1.16. A compression
Compression check allows to draw conclusions on an engine condition. At its check it is possible to establish, whether in norm valves or pistons (piston rings) or they are worn out. Besides, by results of the control it is possible to define, whether the engine is subject to replacement or it can be repaired in a complex. For check the device is necessary for the compression control. The pressure difference between separate cylinders should make a maximum 1,5 bar. If the difference in pressure makes more than 1,5 bar it is a sign of the defective valves, the worn out piston rings or the directing cylinder. If will reach a deterioration limit, it is necessary to repair or replace the engine. Pressure of compression should make: for the 4-cylinder engine 10–14 bar, for 6-cylinder nearby 12 bar. |
