Replacement of wheels

At replacement of wheels is inexpedient to change a direction of rotation of tyres. For some tyres the rotation direction is specified by an arrow on a lateral face and it should be observed necessarily.

It is recommended to replace each 10 000 km forward wheels back. Thanks to it, all 4 wheels will have identical service life and identical deterioration.

To tighten wheel bolts only динамометрическим a key. Their identical inhaling is thus provided.

To replace tyres not separately, and, at least, on one axis. Thus tyres with большей depth of a profile to mount behind.

The prevention

At replacement and dismantle бескамерных tyres for safety reasons it is obligatory to replace the rubber gate.

Possible rust on a surface прилегания rims delete a wire brush. For protection of a wheel against corrosion at each dismantle slightly grease подшипниковой with greasing a place of landing of a disk wheel on a nave in front and behind.

1. Wring out a wheel cap a screw-driver or remove hands, depending on a design.
2. Before removal mark a chalk or a felt-tip pen position of a wheel concerning a nave that at repeated installation to establish a wheel in its position.
3. Ободья from easy metals are protected from corrosion by a transparent varnish covering. At wheel replacement try not to damage it, in case of need improve a covering.

The prevention

Bolts 1 (length L = 40 mm, To = 13, 5 mm) are intended only for disk wheels from easy metal, bolts 2 (length L = 21 mm, To = 10, 5 mm) are used only for steel disk wheels. If are in addition mounted ободья from easy metal, and as a spare wheel the steel disk wheel is delivered, it is recommended to have in a tooling corresponding bolts to a spare wheel.

4. Clear the polluted carving a wire brush. Do not oil bolts and greasing.
5. Before installation of a disk wheel from easy metal twist in the top carving aperture the assembly plug which is applied on a spare wheel.
6. Fix wheel bolts cross-wise in some calling.

The prevention

At unilateral or insufficiently strong tightening of bolts the wheel or a nave can be drawn.

7. The inhaling moment: 110 Н.м. For ободьев from a steel and easy metals.
8. Again put on a wheel cap. At installation so put on a cover that the gate has more strongly entered into the cut provided for it. Steel ободья should be used only with the mounted wheel caps to avoid damage of gates of tyres.
9. At new wheels tighten wheel bolts approximately through 100 - 500 km of a way with the moment 110 Н.м.

Chains противоскольжения

For cars with антипробуксовочной system ASR the switch of chains противоскольжения is used. At adjustment of height of the car to establish the car on the highest road clearance. Care of tyres

It is known that tyres have so-called "memory", and their not qualified use, for example, fast or frequent moving through stone borders or edges of rails, is quite often shown much later as their damage.

Clearing of tyres

Whenever possible do not clear the tyre a stream of steam from the steam-ejecting pump. If a nozzle of the steam-ejecting pump too close to hold at a tyre surface within several seconds there is a chaotic parabolic destruction of a rubber layer. The tyre cleared thus for safety reasons should be replaced.

Tyres which long time adjoined to oil or greasing are subject to replacement also. Tyres bulk up at first on contact places, and then again accept a normal form and outwardly look intact. However their bearing ability decreases.

Storage of tyres

Tyres should be stored in a cool, dark and dry place. They should not contact to oil and greasing.

To store tyres in lying position or put on a rim in garage or a cellar.

Before to dismantle wheels, slightly raise pressure of air in tyres (nearby 0,3–0,5 bar).

For winter tyres use their own ободья, since. Reinstallation of tyres on others ободья is connected with additional expenses.

New tyres have especially slippery surface. Therefore new tyres is concerns also a new spare wheel - follows обкатать. Wheels – balancing

As a rule, steering wheel vibration is shown only in a certain range of speeds and disappears at switching on lower or high transfers.

Wrong deterioration of tyres

And as a result of an inclination of road deterioration of shoulders of the tyres directed to the middle of road, is expressed much more distinctly (the left wheel: outside, the right wheel: inside).

Non-uniform deterioration usually arises because of too low or too air high pressure in tyres, but can be caused also wrong installation of wheels or their disbalance, and also malfunction of the shock-absorber or a rim.

Sawtooth deterioration of a profile of tyres, as a rule, is caused by a car overload.

First of all pay attention to appropriate pressure of air in tyres, thus is not more rare than each four weeks supervise their condition.

To supervise pressure of air only on cold tyres. Pressure of tyres raises with their heating at fast driving. However it is not necessary to lower air from нагретых tyres.

At too high pressure of air in tyres the protector middle, since more wears out. Thus as a result of high internal pressure the tyre is more curved on the protector middle.

At too low pressure of air in tyres the protector wears out on tyre shoulders more, and the protector middle becomes convex inside. As a result takes place больший deterioration of shoulders of tyres.

Wrong installation of wheels and their disbalance give a typical picture of deterioration of tyres.
