1. Designate a paint position of forward wheels in relation to a nave. Thanks to it the balanced wheel after removal comes back in the same position. Release bolts of wheels before car lifting. Put the car in front on supports and remove forward wheels.
2. Screw a brake disk on a nave a wheel bolt (43а), having inserted it into an aperture located opposite to an adjusting bolt (9k).
3. Cautiously a screw-driver wring out brake колодки from a brake disk.
4. Remove a nave cap (9е) by means of a stripper (023) or bring down its rubber hammer.
5. Check a backlash by вытягивания and cave-in of a flange by hands. Before each attempt turn a nave a little.
6. The axial backlash is measured in workshops by means of the adaptation having as the gauge the hour indicator of small movings. The gauge is established with deepening of a measuring rod of 2 mm. The preset value of a correct backlash makes 0,01–0,02 mm.
The prevention

In the course of separate measurement, submitting a flange there and back on an axis, it is impossible to turn a nave.

7. Release a bolt with internal шестигранником (9i).
8. Screw up a cutting nut at simultaneous rotation of a nave until it cannot be turned more. Then release a nut on 1/3 turns and blow of a plastic hammer on an axis (5а) ослабьте a tightness. Measure a backlash.
9. If necessary repeat backlash installation. Firm Mercedes orders installation of a backlash by means of the hour indicator. However in practice (when there is no the indicator) the backlash is considered correct if the washer under a cutting nut with some effort can be displaced there-here by means of a screw-driver. If the washer does not manage to be got moving forward, it is necessary to wring out or release a cutting nut.
10. Tighten a bolt with internal шестигранником on a cutting nut with the moment 8 Н.м. And once again check a backlash of bearings.
11. A cap of a nave to edge отбортовки (marksman) fill with high-temperature greasing for bearings in quantity about 15
12. Put into place a cap of a nave with the help спецприспособления 025 or fill a rubber hammer.
The prevention

The beaten cap necessarily replace, as through joint thinnesses the moisture owing to what it quickly collapses gets into the bearing.

13. Unscrew a wheel bolt on a brake disk.
14. Put on a wheel, observing marks of its former position earlier put by a paint. Screw a wheel. Lower the car on wheels and in a crosswise order tighten bolts of a wheel with the moment 110 Н.м.
15. Repeatedly понажимайте on a brake pedal that brake колодки have risen into position.
